Discover the most iconic places in central Palma, its history, and the interior of the Majorcan Cathedral.
Starting from Parc de la Mar, you’ll embark on a guided walking tour of about 90 minutes, during which you’ll learn everything there is to know about Palma from our guide. You’ll see and photograph the statue of the Majorcan slinger, a bronze sculpture located at the south entrance of the S’hort del Rei gardens. You’ll also visit the Torre dels Caps, named because it once displayed the heads of executed individuals during the Middle Ages. The old tower was demolished, and the current one is located within the Royal Palace of La Almudaina.
Stroll through the narrow streets of the historic center and visit other landmarks such as Plaza de la Reina, the Parliament, and Plaza de Cort, where the town hall is located. You’ll see the typical courtyard of a Majorcan manor house and admire the Majorcan Cathedral, which overlooks the bay of Palma and stands as an icon of the island’s historical and cultural heritage.
Later, you’ll take a bus to Valldemossa, where you’ll have free time to explore the village.
